Tonights Sky Sports F1 Report
Is Lewis washed up or just not used to not having the most dominant car? Lewis was used to turning up putting it on pole and driving away with it?. But even when he’s not got a good car he can still pull it out the bag like when he started at McLaren, Lewis always brings it up a level.
Safety car
The safety has been loved for spicing things up, in Australia and in China, is it good? Yes of course it is. As the Sky F1 report said, “it spices things up” it may be a bit of luck but you can’t deny that it makes for exciting finishes.
Baku 2017
Baku 2017 talking points – lewis brake testing Vettel or lifting then vettel throwing his toys out his pram, “if that was junior driver it would be a ban”, “but from a 4-time world champion you don’t expect it”.
Daniel Ricciardo speculation
It will be good to see Ricciardo with Lewis as Mercedes would let them battle. The F1 Report said “they don’t think he will go to Ferrari”, as Vettel won’t have it; although he may not have a contract to say it, he still has pulling power. Although they didn’t get on well at Red Bull as teammates. Ferrari build the car around Vettel would Vettel have Ricciardo as a teammate and a threat?
BakuGP
Any of the top teams could win due to the unpredictability but on the Sky F1 Report, they are going for a Hamilton win from pole.
Bottas need to use each weekend as a chance to prove himself against Lewis as he has done so far. But I am sure Lewis will come back and show why he is a four-time world champion.
Max verstappen
Jos, Max’s dad has had his say too. Do we want Max to change his ways? He is young and eager, we have this sort of driver for years since Senna or Lewis Max has an unpredictable mindset but its exciting, brilliant and an extremely fast driver.In 2010 Vettel was called the crash kid but went on win 4 titles. So some more experience will help Max.
Red Bull driver vote
Sky Sports did a poll on the best driver out of Max and Ricciardo. Out of 12.500 fans who voted 82% said Ricciardo while only 18% said Verstappen. This was done after China so may not have been a fair poll.
McLaren
With so much pre-season excitement and a load of hope. Stoffel has underperformed against Alonso although Stoffel occasionally shows the upper hand. McLaren is expected to have a big upgrade expected in Spain. Let’s hope it helps them in the midfield fight
With Alonso 37 in few months, what are the chances of him getting into another championship winning car? I don’t think it will happen which is going to put an end to his F1 career.
Alonso Not Expecting Much More At Baku GP
Kimi
As with Alonso, Kimi is perhaps at the end of his career, currently playing rear ginner to Vettel even when he is the faster driver.
