Daniel Ricciardo has commented on the Formula One driver market by insisting Sebastian Vettel would not stop him joining Ferrari.
Ricciardo has become perhaps the most in-demand driver on the grid after he stamped his authority on this year’s championship battle with a fantastic victory in China two weeks ago.
The Red Bull driver is prepared to bring the curtain down on his decade-long relationship with the team if the former champions cannot provide the car to fight for the championship Ricciardo wants.
Ricciardo Locked In To Talks With Ferrari
Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes team are both ready to sign him up to drive for them.
“From a personal point of view, I don’t think Seb is scared,” Ricciardo said.
“If I know Sebastian like I think I do, he is 100% a competitor, and lives and breathes F1.
“That competitor in him would love a chance for redemption after being beaten in 2014. The competitor in him will try and wipe that slate clean.
“He would not shy away from it.”
